Demi Lovato Had To Postponed Her Illinois Concert After Loses Her Voice As She Woke Up

American singer, songwriter, and actor Demi Lovato is taking a brief pause from touring. On Wednesday (Oct. 5), the “29” singer shared that they needed to reschedule their Rosemont, Ill., Holy Fvck tour date at the Rosemont Theater — which had been set for that evening — after losing their voice.

The singer, who recently surprised the audience in Los Angeles with some special guests, announced that she had to postpone her show in Rosemont, Illinois, explaining to her fans and followers that she had to reschedule it at a later date, per Hola!

And while Demi says that this was “the absolute last thing” she wanted to do, she had no choice but to postpone the concert. “Rosemont, today I woke up and had absolutely no voice,” she wrote. “I’m so so sorry but it breaks my heart to tell you I have to reschedule the show. Tickets will be honored for a new date as soon as it is announced.”

She continued, “I’m having so much fun with you all and I can’t wait to see you again. Again, I’m so sorry and I appreciate your understanding. I love you all.”

"Rosemont, today I woke up and had absolutely no voice," the 30-year-old's message, posted to her tour's Instagram page, read. "I'm so sorry, but it breaks my heart to tell you I have to reschedule the show."

The "Cool for the Summer" singer added, "Tickets will be honored for a new date as soon as it's announced."

The post witnessed positive reactions from all over the globe, as evident from the comments section. A netizen commented, "I hope you feel better soon!! And I will hold on to my tickets so I can see you in better health sending you so much love;" another fan wrote, "Please take all the time you need. Boston wants you at your best!!!", while an Instagram user stated, "see you back in Rosemont/Chicago baby doll!! CLOSING NIGHT now?! I’LL BE THERE!! I hope you start feeling better. I love you soo much!!" Many fans even asked the singer to recover as soon as possible so that they get a chance to hear her voice live.

Demi also shared her frustration with having to take some time away from the stage and her loyal fans.

This is not the first time during her recent tour that Demi has voiced her struggles, as she previously revealed that she had been feeling sick, following her dates in South America.

Back in September, Demi expressed her frustrations with her ongoing health struggles. "This next tour will be my last," she wrote at the time. "I love and thank you guys."

"I'm so f--king sick," she added. "I can't get out of bed."

While Demi might be having to take a pause from tour life, she's certainly made every moment count up until now.

Just last week, she invited Ashlee Simpson to join her onstage during her stop in Los Angeles on Sept. 28. Together, they performed Ashlee's 2004 hit "Lala" in front of the excited audience.
