Staying true to her 140-character promise, Sevyn Streeter followed up Canadian emcee Tory Lanez’ “Say It” single.
The song, which is Lanez’ lead-out track for his debut project rumored for a 2016 release, was tapped earlier by UK’s own, Ed Sheeran. Following up the pop icon’s acoustic serving, Sevyn serenades a tonally befitting cover for “Say It” as she speaks from the ladies’ side of Lanez’ sensuous proposition.
Over the weekend, she hinted at the mix when she tweeted an applause for the track:
I fux with @torylanez “say it” record. Might have to flip it and give the female response
— Sevyn (@sevyn) September 19, 2015
After Mr. Lanez hit retweet on her kudos, the “Shoulda Been There” singer pressed record and dropped the mix in just two days following. Sustaining her studio grind as of late, Sevyn also graced fans earlier this week with the Emanny-assisted passion duet, “Quarter Past.” As her debut LP, On The Verge, continues to develop, the CBE talent continues to mark her spots in the industry circle.
These tracks prove that even though the R&B vixen has had her hands full, she’s keeping the studios even fuller. Hit play on her soulful helping for the “Say It” remix below.
